Who answers what
- A note or question on this site
- Us, through the App Support link on the F-80 app’s App Store page. Include the page address and the first words of the question.
- Your application, appointment or result
- The FDNY. The Study Material lists the FDNY Business Support Team: call 311 and ask for the FDNY Customer Service Center (Source: Study Material p. 7, as of October 2026).
- Test-day rules and FDNY Headquarters
- The FDNY Certificates of Fitness page (Source: FDNY Certificates of Fitness page).
- The school course
- The school you enrolled with. The FDNY keeps the list of schools (Source: FDNY F-80 school list).
- Your own building
- Your shelter director and your shelter’s emergency preparedness plan. We cannot advise on a specific building.

We read every report about a wrong rule. When the FDNY text and our page disagree, we correct the page and note the date.
